13-Hour Drive with Live Hydroponic Crops to ACTEA Conference
A couple of weeks ago, I drove from Charlotte, NC, to the Syracuse, NY area with two Aquatree Hydroponic Gardens full of freshly grown crops for the NY ACTEA Leadership Conference, a Career and Technical Education conference.
It was 13 hours of drive time in a compact sedan.
Many booth visitors remarked on the impressive appearance of the lettuce and microgreens, and were surprised when I told them that they remained fresh and healthy after a 13-hour car ride, demonstrating the resilience of crops grown with Aquatree Gardens.

Here’s a quick video of the ride and booth for you to see for yourself.
It’s Easy to Grow with Aquatree
For the Education Conferences I attend across the South and Northeast, I grow all the crops myself at the house. Prior to Aquatree, I had never been able to keep any plant alive. Now, I can perfectly time my crop growth for conferences and travel 10+ hours with them.
This is why they are perfect for the classroom. Teachers can do their lesson planning while being confident in the grow times. The crops grown in the Aquatree have been road-tested, proving to be robust and healthy enough to withstand long drives without running water. They will 100% thrive in the classroom, culinary arts kitchen, or greenhouse.
Aquatree’s Next Education Stop:
For the first time at a CTE Conference, we will have the Aquatree 5-Level Tower at our booth for the ACTE CareerTech VISION Conference in Nashville, TN!

We look forward to seeing many Career and Technical Education Leaders in December and are excited for them to see the Aquatree 5-Level Tower in action at our booth.
