Aquatree: Indoor Hydroponic Systems for Schools Highlights
As we enter our second full school year as a provider of Indoor Hydroponic Systems for Schools, we are excited by the momentum of our Aquatree Gardens and Aquatree Towers being utilized to provide hands-on, real-world learning experiences in schools across the country.
1st Year Education Highlights:
From coast to coast and beyond, Aquatree Hydroponic Systems are in elementary, middle, and high schools in 22+ states and territories, including Hawaii and the Northern Mariana Islands (near Guam).
In the University Lab: Proving that our hydroponic systems are ideal for all levels of education, leading microgreens researchers at Penn State are utilizing the Aquatree Tower & Aquatree Garden in their labs. Our patented design has simplified growing microgreens, limiting the variables, making it an ideal system for testing. Here is an awesome Pennsylvania Cable Network video of the Penn State’s AgScience Team demonstrating the Aquatree Garden and Aquatree Tower.
Schools Sharing Their Success Stories: St Lucie Public Schools in FL published this hydroponics in schools success story from the end of last school year after five of their middle schools received Aquatree Gardens and were able to complete a 7-day microgreens growing project.
Meeting Educators Across the US: We’ve attended Education Conferences in NC, SC, FL, NV, TX, and GA. Most schools that are implementing Aquatree Gardens have seen our hydroponic systems in action at one of these conferences. Engaging with our desktop hydroponic system with abundant crop growth makes it easy to see how it is an ideal system for the classroom or lab.
Student grown Aquatree Gardens featured at our booth: Since it was too far to drive to Las Vegas for the Regional CTE Conference in Nevada, we partnered with local high school, West Career and Tech’s horticulture class to grow crop for the show. The students did it all including assembly.
Special Needs Classroom Success: After an Aquatree Garden pilot program at the Broome-Tioga BOCES in 5 classrooms, they have expanded it to 10 classrooms.
Join us in Year Two:
Those were just some of the highlights of our first full year in schools.
Are you looking to enhance your plant science, horticulture, culinary arts or STEM learning with an easy-to-use, consistent Compact indoor hydroponic garden or full-scale hydroponic tower?
Aquatree Gardens are the best systems for fast growing microgreens that are ready to harvest in only 7 – 9 days, keeping students engaged and perfect for lesson planning. In addition to microgreens they grow lettuces and herbs (Basil, Oregano, Cilantro) fitting perfectly into culinary arts curriculum.
Administrators love our systems, because not only are our system compact and space friendly, they are also budget friendly.
