Microgreens & Bean Sprouts

Micro Lid

Aquatree is introducing the first-of-its-kind REUSABLE growing medium for MICROGREENS and PROTEIN BEANS called the MICRO LID.

Seed Washing

A thorough rinse with fresh water is adequate to remove dust and contamination from most seeds (especially smaller seeds like broccoli and radish seed).

Insert Micro Lid

Evenly distribute the seeds and then insert the Micro Lid into the Irrigation Tray and connect to the Aquatree.

Harvest your crop!

Harvest your microgreens in just 5-9 days. Use a knife to cut off the roots from the bottom of your Micro Lid. Then pull your fresh nutrient-dense microgreens from the Micro Lid and rinse before you eat or store refrigerated up to 7 days

Plant Your Seed

Add 1-3 seeds to the shallow dimple on the Growfoam and insert into cone

Garden Lid

Insert 5 cones into each Garden Lid and place onto Irrigation Tray. Your plants will require nutrients, so check out Aquatree’s Liquid Plant Food as well.

Harvest your Lettuce

After 30-45 days, your lettuce will be ready for harvest.

Aquatree® Tower Food Safety

Testing for Salmonella, Listeria, and E. coli in your Aquatree Tower is simple with modern test methods. Since hydroponic systems use a closed water system, detecting contaminants with a high degree of confidence can be easier than in traditional soil-based farming. Here are a few options:

Water and Surface Testing
- Test Strips & Swabs: Rapid test kits are available for all three bacteria. You can simply dip a test strip into your nutrient water and compare the results.
- Results Time: Most strips provide results within 10–30 minutes.
Lab-Grade Rapid Tests
- Pre-packaged Sample Kits: Some kits use a color-changing liquid or PCR (DNA-based) testing to detect bacteria with more accuracy.
- Process: You take a small sample of water from the Tank, add it to a provided solution, and wait for a color change (following instruction provided by the manufacturer).
- Lab Confirmation: If positive, you can send a sample to a lab for further analysis.
