Planting Instructions

SEED VOLUME ¼ cup seeds
GROW LIGHT Keep Dark
GROW MEDIUM Micro Lid
NUTRIENTS None
TIME TO HARVEST 3-4 days
  1. Near a sink, use 3-4 tbsp Aquatree scoops to place seeds into the Micro Lid
  2. Rinse seeds using the Micro Lid as a strainer
    1. Note: Use the spray feature of your faucet with low volume to avoid splashing
  3. Evenly distribute the seeds on the base of the Micro Lid
  4. Insert the Micro Lid into an available Irrigation Tray on your Aquatree
  5. Add 2 dams to each of the corners of the Micro Lid to allow beans to get an initial soak
  6. Fill the Tank with water
  7. Plug in pump to turn on your Aquatree Garden
  8. Bean sprouts do not need light to sprout – Keep Dark
    1. Note: Cover the bean seeds with another Micro Lid to keep light away from seeds when growing with other crops requiring light. You may also use other kitchen products to cover the Tray
  9. Remove 1 of the dams after 4 hours from planting for the remainder of the grow cycle

Recommendation: Water will be consumed by the plants as they grow, add water as necessary to maintain tank level

Harvesting Instructions

  1. Turn off your Aquatree about 10-15 minutes before you want to harvest allowing your trays to drain thoroughly
  2. Remove the Irrigation Tray you plan to harvest from the Aquatree and take to your sink
    1. Note: Keep the end connected to the Aquatree pointed up to avoid water dripping
  3. Lift the Micro Lid off the Tray and rinse seeds with fresh cool water using the Micro Lid as a strainer
  4. Pour your sprouted beans into a container to prepare for your meal or store in your refrigerator
  5. Clean Trays and Micro Lids with soap and water or in the dishwasher

CONGRATULATIONS: You are now ready to set up a new tray for planting
